A Rocha Brazil

Through training workshops, the team is mobilizing communities and churches to respond to the environmental challenges in their neighbourhoods. With funding from Tearfund, the Network Transformation (ReT) project has run in eight cities in the north and north-east of the country to raise awareness and understanding of environmental issues, enabling communities to initiate practical conservation projects.

Through a collective of Christian NGOs, A Rocha Brazil is also working with churches to bring pressure on the government to build sustainable public policies and implement proposals that emerged at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio 2012.
