Joël recently finished his thesis in Behavioural Ecology specifically focused on bird reproductive strategies. He shares A Rocha’s concern for our environment and its degradation by humans.  He is also inspired by A Rocha’s approach, which combines an engagement in Creation care and a Christian perspective.  Thus Joël became involved in the Board of Directors and hopes to contribute to the further development of A Rocha France.

Member of A Rocha for a number of years, Etienne lives in a hilltop village in Provence in the region known as Pays du Buëch.  This proximity to such a rich yet fragile ecosystem constantly reminds him of the effects of our daily activities on the environment.  His role within the Board of Directors demonstrates his commitment to Creation care.  He is also passionate about the need for Christian involvement in the face of environmental challenges.
