Our WorkAll of us are aware of the destruction of flora and fauna. We all play a part in the unequal distribution of the world’s vital resources. In this context, A Rocha seeks to declare God’s love for all of creation. To do this, A Rocha runs activities involving numerous organizations and people of faith that encourage and enable eco-citizenship. Our programmes fall under three main categories:
- Conservation of the European Roller- Environmental surveys including bird and butterfly counts- Engaging with local stakeholders in the ‘Envisioning the Future of the Former Baux Wetlands’ project- Landowner programme- Reporting on a local landfill site
Our centre property is both a tool for scientific study and environmental education and is composed of: - Les Tourades centre- 'Between Heaven and Earth' nature garden
Through material developed for individual church groups, this programme aims to foster reflection on the Bible in relation to environmental issues. |
