| Will Campbell-Clause presents |
Encouraging Christians in Edinburgh to become involved in 'The Wave' and climate change was the purpose of the evening on the 25 November. Professor Michael Northcott gave a thought-provoking talk entitled "Climate Change and Christian Witness".
While Professor Northcott discussed how climate change requires a spiritual and not just a scientific response, members of the audience took turns to power the projector using a specially adapted bike to emphasise how much energy is required to work even a small electronic device.
Lisa Ostenson, A Rocha's fundraiser, led the worship followed by Will Campbell-Clause, the Youth Co-ordinator, and his fiance Pippa Tennant, who gave an overview of A Rocha's work and how to lead a low-carbon life. With 'The Wave' in London and Glasgow fast approaching on 5 December and less than a month before the critical talks in Copenhagen, it's vital to consider why and how Christians should respond to this global issue.
