The
Northumbria Community's Project
The associated project between the Northumbrian Community and A Rocha is
based at the Northumbrian Community mother house, which is a few miles from the
Northumbrian coastal town of Alnmouth.
The Northumbrian Community moved to its present location in January 2011, and
the new site has been purpose built to accommodate guests and retreats. Bordered
by local farmland, the site of the project lies in idyllic countryside, with the
unspoilt river Coquet only two miles away.
The aim of the Associated
Project is to enable people to have a deeper sense of connection to God through
creation and have a deeper understanding of where our food comes from by growing
fruit and vegetables, farming pigs and developing a prayer garden.
