Practical Action
Our practical projects demonstrate creation care in a practical way and are a
great way to get involved in making a difference yourself.
Our original project is Living Waterways in Southall, west London. Directly
managed by A Rocha UK, this works in partnership with the local community and
includes the Minet Country Park, school's education, interfaith work and our
community centre.
Associated Projects
Building on the success of Living Waterways, we run a fast-growing network of
Associated Projects. These are practical local initiatives across the UK, run by
local people. Find out more about the Associated Projects programme
here, and read about existing Associated Projects
at Steyning Downland in West Sussex,
Lea Brook Valley in Dronfield, Derbyshire,
Chiltern Gateway in Oxfordshire, and
the Gower in Wales.
Science and Conservation
Our science and conservation work is not all project-based. We also offer a
consultancy service and provide national science resources. For more information
please view our consultancy page or contact
andy.lester@arocha.org.

National Education
We have been working locally with primary school children for over 9 years.
To help equip others we have made Environment Club and assembly material
available online,

We are developing materials for GCSE Religious Education, which can be used
nationally as part of the 'Faith and the Environment' module. These will be
available for purchase in the second half of 2010. To find out more, click
here.
Helping churches
We offer resources and events to help the Christian Church in the UK
recapture God's original commission to care for creation. Read more about our
Partner Churches programme here.
Living Lightly
We
also need to consider the impact of own lifestyles.
Living Lightly helps you to
do this and learn from others.
