2010: What a Wildly Wonderful World!

Just Food

2011- Just Food?

Food is God’s gift in creation, but today it’s often either cheap junk, grabbed on-the-run, or an ethical nightmare and a cause of injustice and suffering. This year’s A Rocha UK Environment Resource Pack aims to reclaim a biblical understanding of food – as something at the centre of our lives – a source of celebration and joy - and also as a way of bringing God’s Kingdom values of justice and restored relationships into our lives.

The pack contains enough material for a 5-week series, or can be used for single services. It includes sermons, short films, prayers, children's materials and resources and can be used to help celebrate Environment Sunday on 5th June or Creation Time, 1st September - 4th October.

Here are some samples from the pack.

Just Food? costs £10.00 plus £1.50 P&P

Please tell your church leaders about this pack - or buy one as a gift for your church!

All this can be purchased via Paypal for £10.00+p&p (Contact office for postage outside the UK)

2010-What a Wildly Wonderful World

This Environment Resource Pack takes its name from Psalm 104:24 which says (The Message Bible):

'What a Wildly Wonderful World, God!
You made it all, with Wisdom at your side,
made earth overflow
with your wonderful creations.'

2010 was the UN’s International Year of Biodiversity so it’s was a great time to focus on the incredible beauty and complexity of nature, on how it can be a springboard to worship, and on how we can glorify God by caring for biodiversity locally and globally.

This resource pack can be downloaded free of charge, but we recommend a donation of £5.00 to help us with our work. To make your donation, go to the 'Donate' section of our website. If you are an A Rocha UK supporting Church you are welcome to download the pack without charge.

2004 - Jesus and the Earth

"Jesus and the Earth" has been chosen as a theme to link with the book of the same name by Bishop James Jones of Liverpool. Bishop James, and his publishers SPCK, have kindly agreed to the use of the name, and to short extracts from the book being used. This pack is therefore slimmer than in recent years, as it is expected that people will buy the book and use if as a reference. A short review of the book follows inside the pack. Any mistakes contained in this pack are the responsibility of the pack's author, Revd. Dave Bookless, and not of Bishop James Jones or SPCK.
