Netherlands Committee of the International Union for the Conservation of
Nature
The Netherlands Committee of the International Union for the Conservation of
Nature has been a major sponsor for our Community Resource Management Programmes
in off-reserve areas around Mole National Park in the Northern Region. They are
currently funding an integrated programme that aims at combating poverty and
protecting biodiversity in communities on the fringe of Mole through their
Ecosystem Grant Program.
SNV-
The Netherlands Development Organization
SNV is an international development organisation, with its headquarters in
the Hague, Netherlands. SNV is committed to contributing to poverty alleviation
and good governance in 25 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern
Europe. In Ghana, SNV has been active since 1992 supporting work in Accra,
Tarkoradi, Ho and Tamale. National and international experts provide capacity
development services in three main thematic areas: Local Governance, Natural
Resource Development and Private Sector Development.

Climate Stewards is a global programme of A Rocha, working through the unique
family of A Rocha teams around the world. Climate Stewards is developing
projects that will help the climate, the community and wildlife. It works in
partnership with local people, involving them in the planning, management and
maintenance of the projects.

improving the environment. Working throughout Africa's drylands, TREE AID
empowers poor families to unlock the potential of local tree resources to meet

Collaborative Institutions
Collaborative Resource Management Unit (CRMU) of the Wildlife Division of
the Forestry Commission
The Collaborative Resource Management Unit, a department of the Wildlife
Division of the Forestry Commission, was created in 2000 and is responsible for
community outreach programmes aimed at facilitating involvement of fringe
communities in the management of natural protected areas throughout Ghana.
