The theme is ‘The Earth in Our Hands’. Write a message on your hands. Take a photograph or ten-second video clip of you and your hands. What to write? A creation care bible verse, a message to creation, what you do to care for creation, or what motivates you to act (eg ‘Love’, ‘Stewardship’, ‘Justice’). Make sure the words can be seen clearly. If your message is written in a non-English language, kindly translate it in your email.
Alternatively, you can film a close-up shot of people using their hands in caring for creation or enjoying nature: monitoring wildlife, managing habitat, gardening, preparing food, cupping water in their hands … If you have children in your family, why not get them involved?
Please submit your media and a brief description of it to earthinourhands@arocha.org by 21 April 2013. The best shots will appear in one of A Rocha’s online birthday videos!
