Anne, Lady Prance

Anne Prance was born and educated in the UK. She has taught English in New York to people of many nationalities, and also in the university in Manaus, Brazil. She has written articles and co-authored books with her husband, Professor Sir Ghillean Prance, who is Chair of the A Rocha International Trustees. She has recently translated a short oral history from Portuguese to English.

She is Chairman of the Bromley Trust, a charitable trust dedicated to supporting work in human rights, prison reform and the environment. She was formerly chairman of the Impact Foundation, a charity working in fourteen countries to prevent avoidable disability. She remains a trustee.

She is the mother of two daughters, one working for the New Economics Foundation and the other a breast cancer surgeon. She is also grandmother to two little boys.

She has been privileged to travel widely and to live in different countries, and to cooperate with various churches and small groups. Currently she is working with a group of young women in Dorset, UK.
