A Rocha Netherlands

Landelijke natuurwerkdag
A Rocha Netherlands' Volunteers' Nature Workday

A Rocha Netherlands was founded in December 2002.

The aim of A Rocha Netherlands is for Dutch Christians to have a stronger involvement in (international) nature conservation and A Rocha projects abroad. During the year ARNL organises a programme of outings, workshops and miscellaneous activities concerned with nature conservation.

A volunteer programme makes it possible for lots of (young) interested people to visit and help with A Rocha projects abroad. This will likely involve helping both with chores around the centre as well as with A Rocha's environmental work.

A Rocha's long term aims include the establishment of a nature conservation centre in the Netherlands, with a similar ethos to A Rocha centres elsewhere.

At the same time, A Rocha Netherlands encourages Christians to care for creation around their own living place. A first local A Rocha group has been formed in the city of Wageningen. In 2005 this group has started with practical conservation work in a nature reserve nearby.

More information is available in Dutch on A Rocha Nederland.
