Our stories - Ngā korero o te wā
IT'S FANTASTIC – we now have our first paid staff member!
Kristel is doing a wonderful job of mobilising Kiwi Christians to care for

STOAT TRAPS ARE NOW ON KARIOI - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
A Rocha together with
our partners Te Whakaoraanga O Karioi, the Department of Conservation and the
Raglan community deployed 49 stoat traps across the main track on Karioi - from
Te Toto gorge to Ruapuke Rd .. it was an epic effort from about 50 people (aged
between 13 to 70 years old) that ALL made it UP, DOWN and/or ACROSS both sides
of the mountain. THANK YOU so much to all of you that helped and made this an
amazing and FUN day! We appreciated the HUGE effort!
Traps will be checked monthly by our volunteers. There are various volunteer
options for you to choose from - depending on your fitness, ability and
availability. If you would like to be on the team that will be scheduled on to
check these traps then we would love to hear from you!
