Thank you for your prayers for the Leaders Hui in October 09 - it was a wonderful time of reconnection, and equipping for leaders from around the country who are really exploring the A Rocha vision and how God wants us to grow and develop in Aotearoa New Zealand. May God bless all those who helped to organise the event.

In 2010, based on feedback from the Leaders Hui, we hope to be able to make a few more devotional materials available to our prayer supporters and for local groups fellowship etc. If any of you have suggestions of really good devotional materials, poems, Biblical reflections, that you would like to share with others outside your local group, please do let us know. Perhaps a few themes to start us off may include:caring for Creation, community God's way, reflections on mission and service through stewardship, justice and reconciliation... - whatever will challenge us and keep us growing together spiritually!

This month let's also pray for A Rocha Portugal, the founding A Rocha project, with its special work in the Ria de Alvor (Alvor Estuary), Algarve. Pray for the environmental education work, student projects, the bird ringing and various biodiversity studies that are carried out there, which have been influential in protecting this very special place! Thank God for the recent victory in court for the protection of this site from illegal development and for the restoration of habitats that were destroyed.
