Antropologist and Ethnobiologist of Swiss nationality. She
lives in Peru with her husband since 2006. She works as researcher for the
Center for the Development and Environment (CDE) of the University of Berne,
Switzerland since 2002. She is currently concluding her doctoral research on the
transformation of local medicinal knowledge in the Peruvian and Bolivian Andes.
She works as an adviser for regional program BioAndes of the Swiss Agency for
Development and Cooperation (SDC); program that aims at the conservation of
biocultural diversity in Andean regions of Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador since
2006. She also lectures within the Masters program “Agroecology, Culture and
Sustainable Endogenous Development in Latin America” of the center AGRUCO,
Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Simón, Cochabamba, Bolivia, since 2007. Her
professional experience focuses on transdisciplinarity, sustainable development
and natural resources management, traditional ecological knowledge, and social
learning processes.
