Get Involved
At A Rocha Peru we are privileged to have volunteers from around the world
and throughout Peru join us in our work. We are able to pursue our
organizational vision and effectively work out our three areas of action due to
the invaluable support of these men and women.
We are always looking for volunteers to help us in all facets of our
organization – in the office, out in the field and with technical support.
Please feel free to contact us if you are
interested in joining the A Rocha team!
Hugo’s Volunteer Experience:
“As a volunteer for A Rocha Peru, I have worked as a tree nursery technician
to oversee the production of the Hurango tree (Prosopis sp) and other
native plants and to evaluate the avifauna and flora in the ecosystems of Ica. I
also coordinate and support events for environmental education and reforestation
for A Rocha in Ica. I have learned through these experiences, principally
through conservation activities with communities.
Working with A Rocha Peru gives me the opportunity to learn, conserve, and
acquire knowledge for the good of society as we pursue the conservation of these
fragile ecosystems. Little by little the man that is destroying these ecosystems
can become the caretaker of creation for God.”

Hannah’s Volunteer Experience:
“After three months’ language study, I’m now working with A Rocha’s Huarango
reforestation project, which is helping to provide sustainable livelihoods and
to conserve endangered species. I’m involved in research, practical work,
community programs, environmental education and church work – everything I was
looking for but didn’t think would be possible. Volunteering with A Rocha is an
outworking of my service for God through caring for people and the natural
world.”
