Learn more about Boise A Rocha

Boise, Idaho is excited to have a chapter with A Rocha USA. The town is blessed to have the Boise River flow through
it's center and it's filled with trout, great for rafting and other recreational activities. The river provides a large percentage
of our drinking water and therefore, we've decided to make the watershed our main focus. We have a leadership team of
10 and a mailing list of 70 from over 10 different local churches. It is a diverse group including a wildlife biologist, a school nurse,
an environmental studies grad student, a pastor, moms, lawyer, media specialist, a Boise Watershed employee and many more.
The watershed is a new focus for many of us so we're learning as we go and trusting God to direct us along the way.

We've partnered with existing organizations in the area - Boise Watershed Educational Center and Trout Unlimited.

As we educate the churches on the watershed our goal is to recruit volunteers to participate in the activities of these organizations.

So far we have helped to mark drains leading to the watershed, clipped cottonwood branches

which will be rooted this year and planted by the river in the fall and participated
in educational activities from the Boise Watershed Educational Center.

Future projects include continual drain marking, restoration projects along the river and
educating churches on personal consumption.

We're having a great time and it's exciting to see how God will use us!
